The main office provides applications for persons living within the boundaries of Lake Michigan to 53rd Avenue (north) – 5299 of each street; County Line Road (west) to Cline Avenue (east); Black Oak – 25th Avenue to Ridge Road (north); Clark Road (west) to Cline Avenue (west); Unincorporated Calumet Township. All citizens needing assistance must complete their application at this location only.

The Emergency Shelter is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Multi-Purpose Center located at 1900 W. 41st Ave Gary offers rental space for your meetings as social events.  Included in the rental is table/chair set up, kitchen facilities for warming foods, commercial size refrigerator, wet bar, and free Wi-Fi.  Please call 219-880-4900 for rental and security rates

If your civic or community group is in need of a convenient, attractive and affordable hall, be sure to remember the Calumet Township (MPC). Our two (2) spacious meeting rooms are comfortably designed to seat up to 250 persons. The cost of your rental is determined by the amount of space reserved and the facilities you plan to utilize.
